The short version

About Gift Horse Coffee

A hobby with a logo. That's the honest pitch.

What this is

Gift Horse Coffee is a garage home-roasting hobby. We roast green coffee in small batches, mostly on weekends, and give the bags away to friends and family. There is no shop and no plan to start one — the "company" exists purely so the bags can have a label worth peeling off and keeping.

Why “Gift Horse”?

Because the coffee is a gift, and because “don't look a gift horse in the mouth” was too good to pass up. The full lockup is Gift Horse Coffee Roasters, stamped in one ink on cream like an old roastery seal.

How it works

Small batches, roasted to order and rested before bagging. We log every batch on the roast log. Membership is by invite — once you're in, you can claim bags from whatever's in stock and, after a coffee's been delivered, leave a rating and a note.

The fine print, such as it is

Not a business. Nothing for sale. Just coffee, roasted in the garage and given with love.
